Question by Tracy: at what age did your baby stop wearing onesies?
my son is 13 months, and its getting hot outside, im not sure what the purpose of the “onesie” is but of course most of us put them on our kids. So im wondering at what age did your child stop wearing them, and since its hot i should just do a tshirt and shorts and skip the onsie right?

My son turned 13 months a few days ago. I still have a few onesies that fit him but he mostly wears tshirts and comfy shorts. I do not think that you have to use the onesies.

My first still wore them up until 18 months or so. In the summer I’d just pair a onesie with some shorts. I never did onesie, tshirt, and shorts. My daughter is 7 1/2 months and if we’re hanging out at home she just wears a onesie.
About 9 months. my daughter was born at the end of summer and once the weather started turning warm again, i ditched the onesies.
Our oldest i’s 3 and he stopped wearing them when he potty trained. In the summer quite often he would wear just a onesie
my godson is 19 and still wears onesies, but not every day. He’ll wear them under another shirt, I just like them because you can’t see their diaper hanging out of their pants.
My daughter is only five months old, but I would say put onesies on them as long as you feel like it. I think they are useful because they don’t pull up like shirts do. Have you ever gone to pick up someone’s kid and their whole little belly gets exposed because their shirt pulls up? Well, that’s why I think people put onesies on their kids for as long as they can. But I think it’s personal choice. Do what you want.
